WHO WE ARE

My name is Mia, proud Founder and Lead Tutor of Darcy English Education. I use my knowledge, expertise and love of teaching English to help students overcome the obstacles they feel are holding them back from feeling successful in their studies. My role as a teacher in the classroom ensures I hold the knowledge of curriculum, assessment objectives, and the latest pedagogical approaches required to shape meaningful, successful and engaging tutoring sessions informed by students' needs. My ongoing work in schools ensures that I remain at the forefront of effective teaching practices, which creates a valuable, symbiotic relationship between my classroom teaching and private tutoring. This means my tutees benefit from the high-quality, evidence-based strategies that drive success in the classroom, just with the personalised approach and one-to-one attention and understanding needed to help them achieve their own personal goals.
